The author of the book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” is Stephen R. Covey, and the seven habits of highly effective people are:

Habit 1: Be Proactive

Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind

Habit 3: Put First Things First

Habit 4: Think Win-Win

Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood

Habit 6: Synergize

Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw

Habit 1: Be Proactive – I feel that the habit be proactive is aligned with my personality because any choice you make will always impact your life. You should always try to think before you act and ask yourself how the choice you’re making will affect you later on in life.

Habit 3: Put First Things First – I think the habit put first things first is aligned with my personality because I am trying to prioritize tasks in my life. This will help to make everything less overwhelming, you will get more done and it will help you to see if what you’re doing is helping you get closer to you goals.

Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw – I feel that sharpen the saw is aligned with my personality because making sure that you take care of your mental and spiritual health will help you to have a balanced lifestyle.

I can apply these habits to my educational career by making good decisions about my education and in school. I can prioritize between my education, work and personal life so I can make the most out of a day and get closer to reaching my goals. To avoid extra stress I can take care of my mental and spiritual health by exercising my body and mind and living a balanced lifestyle.  

I can apply these habits in the workplace by making the correct decisions at work and realizing that the choice I make will affect me and also those around me in the business. By prioritizing what needs to be done in my work environment I can help myself get closer to reaching goals and getting, and getting more experience out of my work. Also by learning new skills at work this will help me to exercise my mind allowing me to live a more balanced life.

It is used by professional and also by graduates or students that are close to graduation. This website allows professional to connect with many people in their field or field that they are looking to get into. It enables people to connect with people that their coworkers or colleagues are connected too.

Twitter                                                                                                                                      Twitter is a website that allows a wide range of people, professionals and businesses to make updates regarding important events, or current projects, anything they feel that they want to share. Professional can use this to keep updated with businesses they are interested in or looking to work with. It allows them to also stay updated with new important events that are going on.

Slide Share                                                                                                                                  Slide Share is a website that allows people/professional to upload photos of certificates, awards or events they have attended. This is useful for professionals to showcase the events, moments and accomplishments they are most proud of. It allows other professionals to see this and learn more about their interests and qualifications.

Word Press                                                                                                                                Word Press this is a website where people/professionals can create and update blogs. This keeps others informed and will help you to add to your personal brand, it is also a good way to find out about new business or projects that other people are working on. This is an advantage to professionals because it will help to make you more known on the web.

YouTube                                                                                                                                YouTube this is a website used to upload videos. It is a good tool for professionals because you can put up your personal brand video and it will help to get your name known. This is a useful website because it generates a lot of traffic and can help employers find you quickly.

Social networking is a way of making and expanding social groups by using online tools such as LinkedIn. It is a way in which people meet others and connect over shared interests or goals. It allows people the opportunity to meet others and gain knowledge in a much bigger environment that if they were to only meet people from their neighborhood. Social networking through the use of online tools allows professionals to meet other professionals all over the world.

Professionals use social networking tools to self-promote themselves by making videos of their personal brand and putting it on social media tools such as YouTube, and then linking that video into other platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter. This allows a large amount of traffic to be generated and helps to get their name out there.

Other ways that social media is being used by businesses is on websites like twitter and LinkedIn. Businesses use these sites to keep fellow coworkers and media updated and knowledgably on current and ongoing projects and events.

Job recruiters are also using social media tools, they use tools such as YouTube and LinkedIn these websites allow them to become aware of potential job candidates. A lot of graduates that are looking for careers will create a personal brand image and upload it on these social media tools so they can get there name out there, this helps employers find candidates quickly.
